South Africa Travel With The Complete Traveler Is Scheduled For The Fall
South Africa travel with The Complete Traveler is your private invitation to the habitats of some of the world’s most intriguing residents – The Big Five – Lions, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo. The South Africa travel tours begin at a private game lodge in Limpopo Provence where experienced rangers in open air vehicles travel through the grasslands, savannahs and watering holes in search of the local residents.
The trip will begin Friday, Sept. 27 when the group departs Kansas City for Johannesburg, South Africa. A welcome reception and dinner will be held Sept. 28 at the hotel in Johannesburg.
The Soweto tour begins at the Apartheid Museum Sept. 29. The Apartheid Museum opened in 2001 and is acknowledged as the pre-eminent museum in the world dealing with 20th century South Africa, at the heart of which is the apartheid story.
On Sept. 30, the group will travel to a private game lodge for four nights stay. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served at the safari lodge. Oct. 1-Oct. 3 will be spent in the African Bush, a small, unique lodge. There will be open vehicle game drives, a Sundowner while the sun sets over the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains, and a chance to view lots of the 365 different bird species. The South Africa travel tour includes qualified game rangers and Shangaan trackers.
Friday, Oct. 4 the group travels on a non-stop flight to Cape Town, and a drive to the quaint village of Franschhoek. On Saturday there will be a wine tasting in Boschendal.
On Sunday, Oct. 6, the group will journey from Franschhoek to Cape Town, with a stop in Hermanus for whale watching. Hermanus has been recognized by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) as one of the 12 best whale watching destinations in the world. The best time to enjoy whale watching in Hermanus is between July and November either from land, by boat or from the air via a scenic flight.
Monday brings the group to the Table Mountain Cableway. Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has something for everyone, which is why it has attracted more than 25 million visitors since its opening in 1929. Boulders Beach will also be a stop for penguin viewing. Boulders Penguin Colony is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin. Wooden walkways allow visitors to view the penguins in their natural habitat and there is also a new information center.
The day of October 8 is a day on your own to enjoy whatever you desire in Cape Town. On Sunday, Oct. 9 the group will depart Cape Town for the flight back to Kansas City and arrive back on Monday.
